North Wales Gold Card

The North Wales gold card gives athletes who are representatives of Wales, access to Denbighshire, Anglesey, Conwy, Flintshire, Wrexham and Gwynedd leisure facilities.

To qualify for a gold card, the athlete must live in one of the 6 local authorities above and be a current member of a national governing body national team or squad. Applicants whose sports do not have international fixtures and/or compete as an individual, must have finished in the first three positions of a National Championship organised by the national governing body of sport, within the last 12 months.

A successful applicant will receive a year’s membership card and will be entitled to access a specified range of facilities and equipment depending on their training programme. 

How to apply

You will need to complete an application form and make sure all the pages are filled in. You will also need to send two passport photos and a cheque made payable to Denbighshire county council for £5.00.
