About the compost bin

The Komp 320 offers a generous 320 litre capacity and is available now for collection.

How can I get one?

You can arrange payment and collection by phoning 01824 706000 or by visiting any One Stop Shop. You can collect a composter from the following places;

  • Bodelwyddan Kinmel Park Depot
  • Ruthin Lon Parcwr depot
  • Corwen One Stop Shop
  • Llangollen One Stop Shop

Cash payments can be made at Bodelwyddan Kinmel Park depot but not at Ruthin Lon Parcwr.

What goes in the compost bin?

  • Vegetable and fruit peelings.
  • Tea leaves, coffee grounds and crushed egg shells.
  • Weeds.
  • Hair.
  • Paper.
  • Animal manure.
  • Evergreen clippings.
  • Leaves.
  • Prunings.
  • Vacuum dust.
  • Straw and hay.
  • Grass cuttings

The following items do not compost well and/or can be harmful to the composting process; body fluids, disposable nappies, used paper handkerchiefs, excrement - human/cat/dog, brightly coloured or shiny card or paper, stones, glass, metal, plastic, cleaning fluids and other household/garden chemicals, meat or diseased plants.
