The following information about Denbighshire's education performance is correct as of 2017.

Primary

85.3% of pupils achieved the expected level at foundation phase.  This compares to 87.3% in Wales.

88.9% of pupils achieved the expected level at Key Stage 2.  This compares to 89.5% in Wales.

Denbighshire pupils outperformed Wales in their key stage 2 assessments for Welsh and Maths.  

90.6% of pupils achieved level 4 or higher in English.  This compares to 91.1% in Wales.

91.8% of pupils achieved level 4 or higher in Maths.  This compares to 91.6% in Wales.

92.4% of pupils achieved level 4 or higher in Welsh.  This compares to 91.6% in the rest of Wales.

Secondary

50% of pupils achieved GCSEs A*-C grades (or equivalent), including English and Maths.  The average for Wales as a whole is 54.6%.

90.2% of pupils achieved GCSEs A*-G grades (or equivalent).  The average for Wales as a whole is 94.4%.
