What do I do with gas cylinders?
Gas cylinders must not be placed in any wheelie-bin provided for recycling or refuse collection.
Some camping shops may take reusable cylinders back for reuse or you can take them to your local Recycling and Waste Park.
Before taking a gas cylinder to a Recycling and Waste Park, please follow the manufacturer's or supplier's guidance on de-pressurising or venting the container so that they are safe.
On arrival, if you tell the site staff you have a gas cylinder, they will advise on where to place the items.
Helium containers
Only “party” helium cylinders can be disposed of at a Recycling and Waste Park. Helium supplied in any other container must be returned to the supplier.
