FIS training: Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace for Childcare Practitioners (online course)
Health and Safety in the Workplace for Childcare Practitioner is an accredited training, specially enhanced and adapted to cover your safety at work, the safety of the children in your care, and the safety of visitors to your childcare premises.
The course covers the mandatory UK level 2 Health and Safety syllabus and includes:
- Introduction to Health and Safety
- Childcare Health and Safety law
- Accident classification and reporting
- Risks and risk assessment
- Nursery environment hazards
- Play and play equipment hazards
- Manual handling
- Infection prevention and control
When and where do courses take place?
This course takes place online and should be completed within 30 days of registering the code you receive after registering for the course.
Who can attend?
This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).
The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)
How to get involved
There is a charge of £15 per person to attend this course and each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.
After receiving a booking request, we will send an invoice to the childcare provider which must be paid promptly.
