Library services for the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community
Welcome to a wide range of library services!
Members can use their library card at any of the eight public libraries in Denbighshire and to access a range of online services.
Joining the library is free and you can sign up at any library building. We normally ask for some identification showing your name and address, but ID with just your name on should be enough.
Services at libraries
Once you have joined you will be able to borrow books for three weeks at a time, then bring them back to any library and choose new ones. There are currently no fines if you return them late.
With your library card, you can use the library computers to access the internet and print documents. There is a small charge for any printing or photocopying you do.
If you have a baby or toddler we have Bookstart Rhyme Times in most of our libraries, and we’ve got lots of great books for school age children.
All of our libraries, except Ruthin, are Council One Stop Shops, so you can get help with Council services.
Online services
If you can’t make it into the library, you can use your online membership number and PIN to access a range of online services 24/7 and download eBooks, audiobooks, newspapers and magazines.
This includes mobile and tablet apps like:
- Borrowbox to get access to thousands of eBooks and audiobooks
- Libby to read the latest editions of a whole range of magazines, whether you enjoy sport, cooking, crafts or fashion
- PressReader for free access to newspapers and magazines from 120 countries around the world, 24/7
- PORI to order books form our catalogue and manage your account
If you are learning to drive you can practice your theory test online using Theory Test Pro, completely free if you are a library member.
We look forward to welcoming you to our libraries!
