There are a number of ways to pay but you will need your council tax reference number. This number is nine digits long, starts with a one and is located on the top right of any correspondence sent by the council tax department.
When paying by cash, card or cheque, you should make the payments before or on the due dates given on your bill. Failure to do so can result in recovery action being taken against you.
Online
If you have your reference number, you can make a payment online using your debit/credit card. We accept the following card payments;

Direct Debit
Paying by direct debit is safe and easy. You can choose one of four payment dates: 4th, 15th, 22nd or 30th of the month.
Remember, monthly payments not on direct debit are usually due on the 5th.

Alternatively, you can set up a Direct Debit over the phone by speaking to our council tax team.
Debit/credit card
Debit/credit card payments can be made using your reference number at a One Stop Shop, or over the phone via the 24 hour automated payment line on 0300 4562 499.
Cash/cheque
You can make cash payments at any One Stop Shop in Denbighshire. All you need is your reference number.
You can pay cash at a post office or pay point (external website) using the barcode on your bill.
Cheques should be made payable to Denbighshire County Council with your reference number on the back and sent to Rhyl One Stop Shop, Church Street, Rhyl, LL18 3AA.
Standing Order
You can set up a standing order with your bank using our sort code and account number. Please arrange for the payment to be sent 5 days before your instalment due date to allow enough time for the payment to reach your account.
