Climate and ecological change: What you can do to help
There are lots of things you can do to help climate and ecological change as individuals, businesses and community organisations.
Save energy and carbon at home
We all use a lot of energy, with buildings consuming 40% of overall energy and being responsible for 36% of total CO2 emissions, contributing to global warming. Saving, or conserving, energy not only has positive impacts for the environment but will also save you money by reducing energy bills and can help keep you warmer. Improving the energy performance of your house is just one way of conserving energy. The other main ways are to reduce your fuel bills and make sure you use energy efficiently.
