The next steps will be to transfer our approximately 1800 job templates across to the new accessible versions. We anticipate this work to be completed by Summer 2026.
- Page titles are missing from document settings. This may make it difficult for some people to identify this information. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.2 Page Titled. We have created new accessible document templates for publishing job vacancy information packs. This may make it difficult for screen reader software to distinguish between job application process pages. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content. We are working with the software supplier and aim to fix this issue by December 2024.
Text-to-speech toolbar
At 200% zoom most of the options in the text-to-speech toolbar, such as the play and stop buttons, are no longer available. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion WCAG 1.4.4 Resize Text. This issue will be resolved by our text-to-speech software provider by October 2024.
At 400% zoom or on a small screen (320x256) most of the options in the text-to-speech toolbar, such as the play and stop buttons, are no longer available. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow. This issue will be resolved by our text-to-speech software provider by October 2024.
Table headers
Some table headers on the ‘My applications’ web page include empty header cells. This means that assistive tools will be unable to interpret the information in these table cells. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships. We are working with the software supplier and aim to fix this issue by December 2024.
