30 Hours free Childcare for 3 and 4 year olds (external website)

Working parents of 3 and 4 year olds can get 30 hours of funded childcare a week through the Childcare Offer for Wales.

Early education - 10 hours funded education

Your child may be eligible for 10 hours free education if they attend a playgroup or day nursery after their 3rd birthday.

Flying Start Childcare

Flying Start Childcare provides free childcare during school-term at a setting registered to deliver the Flying Start programme.

Free school meals

If you receive certain benefits you can apply for free school meals for your child.

Universal Primary Free School Meals

To help with the rising costs-of-living, we are working with Welsh Government so that every primary school pupil will be offered free school meals by 2024.

Universal Credit

Universal Credit is a benefit designed to support people of working age who are on a low income or out of work.

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for Children (external website)

DLA for children may help with costs of looking after a child who is under 16 and has difficulties walking or needs much more looking after than a child of the same age who does not have a disability.

Housing benefits

You may be able to claim help with your rent if you are of State Pension age or residing in supported accommodation.

Council tax reduction scheme

You may be entitled to a reduction in your Council Tax depending on your income.
